Outcome of negotiations on the collective agreement for the distribution sector

The administrations of the Industrial Union and the Finnish Media Federation have approved the collective agreement for the precious metals sector. The agreement will be valid from 1 March 2023 to 28 February 2025.

Wage increases in 2023

Amount and timing of the across-the-board pay increase

Individual pay, minimum wages, the night work allowance and the induction allowance will be increased by 3.8% on 1 May 2023.

Wage increases in 2024

Amount and timing of the across-the-board pay increase

Individual pay, minimum wages, the night work allowance and the induction allowance will be increased by 2.2% on 1 April 2024.

Salaries in the sector will be increased as stated above. No lump sum payment was agreed on for the distribution sector, but the effect of the lump sum has been taken into account by bringing the date of the salary increases forward. In other words, the wage level for the agreement period follows the general policy.

We did not make any changes to the text of the agreement in this negotiation round. Some incorrect and outdated entries were changed, but these have no effect on the terms of employment in the sector. Working groups were instituted for the collective agreement period and will operate for the whole agreement period.
