Social holidays – everyone has the right to a holiday!
Hyvinvointilomat ry organises financially supported full board vacations for families with children, for the unemployed and for pensioners.
These five-day supported holidays include accommodation, full board meals and access to guided holiday activities. Holiday packages for families with children and single-parent families also include group-based childcare. Find out more about prices here.
Applications for holidays are open to everyone. Social holidays are granted based on economic, health and social grounds. First-time applicants also have an advantage. You can get up to one holiday every three years and a maximum of three holidays in ten years.
Applications for social holidays in 2025 are open:
- 1–30 November 2024 for holidays in January–May 2025
- 1–31 March 2025 for holidays in June–September 2025
- 1–31 August 2025 for holidays in October–December 2025
Holiday packages for families with children, single-parent families, unemployed people, working-age people and adults in general are all available during each application period. You can choose from various holiday destinations across Finland: holiday homes, resorts, spa hotels and sports centres.
