Finland Volleyball League
The Finland Volleyball League is the highest volleyball league in Finland. The very best of Finland’s volleyball stars battle it out in the men’s and women’s national championships.
There are ten teams each in the men’s and women’s leagues, so there is no shortage of action and nail-biting moments. Matches take place in 18 locations around the country, spanning east to west and north to south.
Each of these 20 teams is fighting to be crowned Finnish champions. Winning the championships gives a team the right to represent Finnish volleyball in the next season against some of the toughest teams from across Europe in the CEV Champions League.
You can find out more about the Finland Volleyball League on its website (in Finnish).
The men’s league match schedule is available here (in Finnish).
The women’s league match schedule is available here (in Finnish).
Industrial Union and Finnish Volleyball Association join forces
In summer 2020 the Industrial Union and the Finnish Volleyball Association launched a two-year partnership.
This partnership allows the Industrial Union to support the Finnish Volleyball Association’s activities throughout Finland, as well as providing visibility at key volleyball events, such as matches of the Finland Volleyball League, Suomen Cup, Power Cup, and European Volleyball Championships in Tampere in autumn 2021.
The Industrial Union is the primary partner of the boys’ national team, Murikat. Conference Hotel Murikanranta serves as a training camp for the boys’ national team in particular, as well as the girls’ national team, alongside the Finnish Volleyball Association’s training centre.
