Agreement Sectors
Industrial Union concludes a total of 35 collective bargaining agreements. The collective agreement is the most important benefit for union members. Collective agreements specify the minimum terms of employment to be complied with regarding the work performed in the sector concerned.
Most of the union’s collective agreements are national and generally binding, which means that all enterprises in the industry must follow the agreement.
If you are employed or are studying in order to be employed in an industry covered by a Industrial Union’s collective agreement, you are welcome to join the union as a member or a student member.

| Manual work in forestry | Timber processing, forest management and forest improvement, other forestry work, timber floating and auxiliary duties. |
| Machine work in forestry | Mechanical forestry work, which includes: Timber felling, processing and handling using mechanical means outside industrial plants, transport of timber and wood chips, loading and unloading of timber in industrial plants, warehouses or harbours, digging and maintenance of forest drainage ditches, construction and maintenance of logging roads, silviculture and soil preparation, spreading of pesticides and fertilizers, harvesting of timber for energy use, recovery of timber-bound energy, chipping operations; as well as the installation, maintenance and reparation of machinery and equipment needed for the duties listed above, and the transport of such machinery and equipment between sites. |
